TYPES OF FLAME DETECTION
ULTRAVIOLET (UV) FLAME DETECTION
Our UV flame detectors are expertly designed to detect the ultraviolet radiation emitted by flames during the combustion process. These detectors are highly effective at detecting flames with a high UV component including those produced by hydrocarbon fires. We recommend these flame detectors for both indoor and outdoor use where fast flame detection is important.
INFRARED (IR) FLAME DETECTION
Our infrared flame detection systems use sensors to detect the heat emitted by flames. These detectors are recommended for environments with challenging conditions such as bright sunlight or ambient light as IR flame detectors will accurately detect flames even in these conditions. They are suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.
