HEAT DETECTION OVERVIEW
Early detection of fire hazards is paramount to ensuring rapid response to an emergency and protection of your business. At Atexa, we offer state-of-the-art heat detection solutions that have been expertly developed for reliable and accurate detection to allow for a quick and proactive response to reduce fire threats. Our systems use temperature-sensitive sensors to detect increases which will indicate the presence of a potential fire or other heat-related risk. An alarm is then triggered which will alert personnel to the fire hazard and enable them to take the relevant action immediately to ensure the fire does not spread. Our heat detection systems are suitable for every application and environment, including but not limited to:
- Commercial and industrial facilities
- Kitchens and cooking areas
- Boiler rooms and mechanical spaces
- Warehouses and storage areas
- Server rooms and data centres
- Hazardous environments where smoke detection systems may not be suitable
TYPES OF HEAT DETECTION
FIXED TEMPERATURE HEAT DETECTORS
Our fixed temperature heat detection systems are expertly designed to trigger an alarm when the temperature exceeds a predefined threshold. These detectors are very reliable, and we recommend them for environments where temperatures will quickly fire in the event of a fire such as kitchens, boiler rooms, and industrial warehouses.
RATE-OF-RISE HEAT DETECTORS
Our rate-of-rise heat detectors will detect rapid temperature increases and trigger an alar when the temperature rises at a rate that is quicker than the preset threshold. They are extremely effective in the event of a rapidly developing fire, providing early detection and enabling a fast response to stop the spread of the fire.
COMBINATION HEAT DETECTORS
Our combination heat detectors involve fixed temperature and rate-of-rise detectors working together in a single unit, providing enhanced reliability and accuracy in detecting temperature rises. Using both detection methods in unison provides full coverage for your premises and ensures that the system can detect a vast range of fire types and heat-related risks.
LINEAR HEAT DETECTION
Our linear heat detection systems use a heat-sensitive cable or wire that runs through the protected area and when the temperature along the length of the cable exceeds a certain threshold, the system triggers an alert to provide efficient warning of a fire risk. We recommend this system for premises with irregular room shapes or challenging conditions.
