VIDEO SURVEILLANCE OVERVIEW
Our high-definition video surveillance systems allow you to keep a close eye on your premises during operational and non-operational hours for maximum peace of mind. Completely customisable, you can choose from cloud-based or on-premises options for storing and managing your video footage, allowing you to access and survey your video surveillance system at any time and from anywhere.
TYPES OF VIDEO SURVEILLANCE SYSTEMS
CCTV systems utilize cameras and recording devices to capture and store video footage of your premises. These systems can include:
SECURITY CAMERAS
These are the primary element of CCTV systems, capturing video footage of your property and surroundings. There are multiple types of cameras available such as dome cameras, bullet cameras and thermal cameras, each with their own unique features.
DIGITAL VIDEO RECORDERS (DVRS) AND NETWORK VIDEO RECORDERS (NVRS)
These are used to record and store video footage from security cameras. DVRs are usually used with analog cameras and record video to a built-in hardrive, whilst NVRs are used with Internet Protocol (IP) cameras and store video footage on a network-attached storage device.
MONITORING AND MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE
CCTV systems can include monitoring and management software. These allow you to view live video feeds, watch recorded footage, and manage camera settings remotely.
TYPES OF CCTV SYSTEMS
Video surveillance systems, or CCTV, are categorised into different types based on their design and uses. The three types of CCTV systems are as follows:
ANALOGUE CCTV SYSTEMS
These use traditional CCTV methods such as Digital Video Recorders (DVRs) to record footage of your premises. These systems are popular with smaller businesses as they are cost-effective and simple to use.
IP CCTV SYSTEMS
These use Network Video Recorders (NVRs) to record high-definition footage of your premise using an IP system. They offer high quality images, remote access, and cloud storage. These are popular systems with medium to large businesses.
CLOUD-BASED CCTV SYSTEMS
These use cloud technology to offer remote access to both real time and recorded video footage as well as ample storage for your footage. They are popular for their flexibility which allows you to access your CCTV system from anywhere with an internet connection. This makes them suitable to larger businesses with multiple locations.
